           - A Genuine Spirit of Love -

I arrived to the Island of Mauritius back in the year of 2013. Meeting people has never been a problem for me. As a matter of fact I am always looking to meet new people while getting to better know the ones that I've previously met.

I admit that with some people it is 'Extremely' easy to connect with, while with others it does take a little work and maybe even a little (or a lot) of prayer. Alvin was definitely one of the easy ones. From the start, it was an absolute connection of 'Brotherly Love' and instant trust. To which with time did it prove to be of genuine, biblical proportion.

Alvin was not part of the church group that I was assigned to assist, but rather a childhood friend from two of the members of the group. When I met him for the first time, he happened to be having car trouble. To which I quickly found the issue and corrected it. Of course this only heightened my credibility with him as one who was worth having around. It is a special and unique feeling to 'Be Welcomed', which is why it is so important as Christians to 'Greet one another with a holy kiss'.... Especially in a church setting where someone may be attending church for the first time....

- Romans 16:16 'Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you.'

1Corinthians 16:20 'All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.'

2Corinthians 13:12 'Greet one another with a holy kiss.'

1Peter 5:14 'Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.'

I do understand that the 'Kissing Part' is not the literal action for today. However, the 'Genuinelove and affection that comes from a pure heart most certainly was the motivation used which came out of the first Holy Spirit led church. A quality that is still to be applied today. A genuine love and affection which is an unfortunate lost method of church function that I continue to fight for and challenge the church to visit once again.

The Living God of the Bible really does have a way of working things out for the good of all that are in line with His perfect providence. Seven years later, as I find myself with the task of getting the business of proper ministry up and running. Incrementing all of its tools of today with 'Social Media'.... My having to learn about Computers and their function has never been my strongest desire. We can all come to a point where we just don't know why 'It's Not Working'.

I give Alvin a call to see what he can do for me. As he is a computer technician (or something like that).... Alvin comes over to my home and just like that, my computer worked perfectly with nothing to report as a failure....Though he did not have to do anything to my computer. He gave me some great advice on what to do about upgrades to my laptop. We were also able to catch up on where we were with the LORD and it was nice to see a genuine spirit of love in him. I look forward to working with him in the future.

'From The Inside Out & From The Outside In'

- Here on the Island of Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean. As I am coming up to my 7th Wedding Anniversary- January 29, 2021. I sit back and say, 'What Have I To Show For It ??'....'What Have I Done In Seven Years To Show How Great Is Our God, The Living God Of The Bible ??'....

- It was at this moment that a tear wanted to come from my eye, but was stopped to make room for the realization of the moment....I go to the floor, head bowed down- "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:10)....

- Just as The Lord has cleaned me up from The Inside Out, so has He been the one who did and is continuing to do, all the work. I had done nothing but watch for Him to move as I follow behind....

- I was sent to an island where the inhabitants have a different lifestyle than what my 40 years of living in the United States of America have taught me. A different method of operation. A different way of thinking, in order for them to move forward in life....

- The first three years of my planting consisted of the Living God of the Bible at work in establishing my stay, here on the Island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Having a woman prepared, for me alone. I would be married within 6 months- And the LORD God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." (Genesis 2:18)....At that moment, by and with permission from the Local Governing Authorities, no one could legally tell me to leave the island. I was here to stay....A child was born to us soon after....

- Along with the challenges of learning about a woman I did not know, who is now my wife. The Lord also brought me to learn about a People I did not know....Though the Mauritian people are a beautiful people, as a whole. I came to see very quickly how those of the church that I was surrounded by, advanced in their way. As I was not used to and much less in favor of the methods used, I stepped away from the group that I had once started with great excitement to come and help. I would spend the next one year searching the Island, looking for greater integrity within the Church. Exhausted from my search, what I did find was the Lord waiting for me to return, and like Martha before me, to sit at His feet....

- As I continued to maintain the method of 'Reading Through The Bible', did I come to a passage of great interest- "Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it."       (1 Chronicles 28:10)

- "Pack Mule for Christ Ministries" ® was launched to assist in my search for those Members of the Body of Christ that would have the Spirit of God lead their way, and not their own hearts- "I say then, walk by The Spirit and you will certainly not carry out the desire of The Flesh." (Galatians 5:16)....It is possible for the Christian, to have The Living God of the Bible lead our lives. It is possible to refuse to follow our own hearts....Listen to my Warning: It is also possible to follow our own heart, only to be deceived into believing the Spirit of God is leading our lives. The Living God of the Bible told the Prophet Ezekiel about this very thing and even told him what the Lord would do about it- "For when anyone from The House of Israel or from the aliens who reside in Israel separates himself from me, setting up idols in his heart and putting his sinful stumbling block in front of himself, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of me, I, the LORD, will answer him myself. I will turn against that one and make him a sign and a proverb; I will cut him off from among my people. Then you will know that I am the LORD." (Ezekiel 14:7-8)....The people of the Lord are led astray by the teachers of the Lord, who themselves have been led astray. Only for the simple reason of following after their own desire, which came from their own hearts, the flesh....

- As I come up to my 7th Wedding Anniversary here on the Island of Mauritius, I look forward to watch the Living God of the Bible use this Ministry to bring those from The Outside In. I look forward to "Helping Others To Carry Their Cross" ® and remain in the Center of God's Will for our Lives....That we would all finish the race with excellence and honor....

- "As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. Instead, his anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not a lie; just as it has taught you, remain in him." (1 John 2:27)

                        Psalm 133:1 -

"BEHOLD, How Good And How Pleasant It Is For The Brethren To Dwell Together In Unity"

CONTINUING with my Biblical journal through the Bible. I come to this passage that I had come to several times before, (Psalm 133:1). Only now and three years after my arrival to the Island of Mauritius does the Word of God speak. To answer the question I have had since a time soon after my arrival- 'Why Haven't I met with any other Pastors of the Island?'

MY personal research, as I became keen to the movements  and mannerism of the people especially in the religious circle, has shown me this. As divided as the Body of Christ is with all its denominations and personal interpretations. It is sad even to see that local churches here on the Island will not even pray for each other to any capacity.

IT is also sad to see that church organizations are more apt to be territorial as it pertains to the fellowship of believers. Jesus said, (MATTHEW 12:30)- "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters abroad"

IT is clear that Jesus is speaking of coming to the understanding of salvation in Christ alone. With this understanding of the text it is also clear that all those with their hands to the plow are working together plowing the same field. Why then are we not working together.

UNFORTUNATELY on the Island, this verse from the Gospel of Matthew is demonstrated as being applied only to the local church fellowship. If you are not part of a certain church organization, then according to that organization, you are not part of the Body of Christ. Giving the believer even less of the chance to learn that they can freely have the relationship to the Christ lead by the Spirit of God. This type of lifestyle may be a cultural issue or an issue of pride, (I lean more toward the latter). This 'Style of Life' has no place in Ministry. For it is not biblical when we read in context from (Mark 9:40)- "For he who is not against us is on our side"

THE people are more confused than ever before when it comes to understanding the availability of a personal relationship with their Creator, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It has come to this, the conversation between believers begins with 'WHERE' do you go to church. It is even surprising to me to see that if you do not attend a certain fellowship, there is no conversation to be had. Yes, you are as dead to them.

YOU will find that teachers of the Word are not teaching the Word and if they are, you will find them only to follow what satisfies their need. I find that both styles of teaching are equal in being self centered. Working to get from others what will benefit their own personal comfort, to whatever degree that is.

I will choose to stay open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and trust that as the Spirit of God has lead me to the Island of Mauritius will He also lead me to work with whom He has set aside for His work- (MATTHEW 22:14)- "For many are called, but few are chosen"

WITH a language unknown to me; A wife prepared for me; My first child given to me, and the list goes on as I move forward building momentum. All because of a text that spoke to me while in prayer and fasting(1 Chronicles 28:10)- "Consider now for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do it"

HOW better do you verbally entertain the argument of an active Spirit in the life of the believer when action speaks louder than words. It came as a surprise to me that some church organizations had refused on more than one occasion to partake in the work of ministry that they would be invited to.

LET me give you a "Show & Tell"- First I will tell you of the events leading to this wonderful work of ministry, then I will show you the work and its outcome as the Lord would have it- By His Holy Spirit.

DURING a separate time of prayer and fasting it seemed right for me to seek out for any Pastor who was willing to work with me as the Lord would lead. I was looking for anyone who did not want something from me other than the same motivational drive to reach the people with the Gospel. It was by chance alone or (divine providence)...I found one.

AS I was paying the electric bill one day did I notice a Pastor of a local church also waiting in line with me. Several months earlier this Pastor had invited Dominique to share the Gospel to a group of kids during ministerial work held by his church, entitled- 'The Gospel Kid's Club'. I thanked him for letting Dominique be a part of this work and encouraged him to let Calvary Chapel know how we can help him spread the Gospel on the Island. He agreed as we parted ways.

PASTOR Francois Serret from a local
Baptist Church did in fact call after eight months of my communicating with him about scripture and sharing with each other personal experiences with the Lord and how they fit in line with scripture.

HIS heart was to reach all (or as many as he can) with the Gospel. He was not going to wait for the people to come to him. When I saw how he planned to go out to the people to give them the Gospel Message, allowing for very little to stand in his way- I chose to strengthen the effort by joining the work.

AFTER I made contacts in my neighborhood. Pastor Francois and his family determined to set a day for ministry- 'The Gospel Kids Club' would be held to reach the children of my neighborhood. Now that's what I call working together!

I pray that you are as encouraged as I am about seeing our Lord at work- Using those that would let Him...Enjoy!

              - UNDER CONSTRUCTION -

TO accept Christ into your life is an exciting moment of your life. A day you will probably never forget. Just knowing that you will be forever in heaven despite your short comings is all part of that excitement- (1 JOHN 1:9)- "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"

HOWEVER, it is how you handle what comes next that will depend on how you are understanding (2 TIMOTHY 3:12)- "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution"- Having trouble finding your socks as you are late for an important meeting is NOT 'Persecution'. This is called 'Recognition'- You have just recognized that you did not properly manage the time God has given you. This is not the first time this has happened to you and it will not be the last. The Word of God will come to life with encouraging advice- (EPHESIANS 5:10)- "Finding out what is acceptable to the Lord"- We serve an orderly God that tells us to learn as we go what pleases Him.

UNLESS you come to realize that once we have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives it then becomes time to start MAKING Him Lord of our lives. You will keep doing the same thing over and over and to you, it will always be the fault of another. This means that we are going to have to give ourselves over to the Holy Spirit for the process to begin. When we are put "UNDER CONSTRUCTION".

I knew that God had a plan for me here on the Island of Mauritius. God is so good that He has used MY shortcomings as the time to train me for what I was to face while fulfilling my time here. Upon settling my stay here on the Island by giving me Ms. Mauritius as my wife (if you did not know that, then those of you that are married should read Ephesians 5:25 again. Then you will call your wife Ms. Mauritius also- or wherever she is from). Anyhow, the first thing I was to do was to reconstruct sections of our Nest that would make it suitable for us to nestle in.

HERE are some similarities as to what we must have looked like before coming to Christ (Differences as per the individual may vary).

(Doorway to an open balcony where the local pigeons came in and made themselves at home. Leaving behind them what comes out from behind them....If you know what I mean. It was everywhere)

(Like the sin in our past lives a remnant is left behind waiting to hatch new problems for the believer)

- AS we have finished going through the Gospel of John, in my home. We are continuing to go through the Bible. I thought it best to stay with the writings of John. So we are now in (1 JOHN 1:8)- "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us"- You can bet that human nature of ours is waiting to come out at any time. Like newly hatched birds, you will be flying in the wrong direction in no time. Stay in the Word and you will be in fellowship with Christ, Jesus- (PHILIPPIANS 1:6)- "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"

(...walk in and to your left you have- The shower room, which was more like an individual bathroom stall. Very small and with the added sink, absolutely no room....For Me)

(...Walk in and to your right we have the toilet. Small and dirty....Not for the pigeons that were still coming around, though)

(The windows of the apartment were either open or broken. Held together with tape)

JUST like fixing up an old, dirty, run down, full of infection apartment. You make your plan and then...GO TO WORK. Even with ourselves coming to Christ. The Holy Spirit gives you the plan, but then you have to...GO TO WORK (ISAIAH 1:16)- "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil"

(The first thing Virginie did was to clean and disinfect the walls and floor of the entire apartment with Bleach)

(Virginie then had all the windows changed with new. Having a nice aluminum white finish)

- FOR the larger jobs that needed to be done, a bit more expertise was needed. Such as closing in the open air balcony and something had to be done with that shower room. I went to the Lord in prayer to know what to do about these projects. Who was I going to call?? Where was I going to get the materials?? I had very little to no connections on the Island. What was I going to do??

- THESE are typical questions we as believers seem to still ask ourselves. What does the Lord say (PROVERBS 24:10)- "If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small"- I think back to when the Lord taught me to use cement and how to handle the tools to work with it. With the Lord, you always get the best. This is why there is no need to faint.

(Alpha Omega Masonry- Based out of Bangor, Maine is the company the Lord chose to use that would teach me (not that I became a master mason), but rather how to deal and masterfully overcome difficult situations)

- THE company is a family business that started only after JOHN VEILLEUX, the fourth generation of brick layer mason said, 'With The Lord On My Side, I Can Do This'- (ROMANS 8:31)- "What then shall we say of these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"- With that kind of approach, of course God will use them.

(Here we have John Veilleux lining up his brick for a reconstruction of a window sill)

(Here I am cleaning reusable brick with the youngest son Dominique Veilleux. He was the smart one of the bunch. Always thinking of new and creative ways to do things- Always a blessing. I can hear him now, 'Paul- I Think You Can Do It')

(John says to me- 'Paul- One way to do things, my grandfather told my father who told me which I told my son and he will tell his son- "Do It" ')

(Rosaire Veilleux is John's first born...or could be the second. He is a twin- His sister Monique looks better than he does- The first born always looks better. Leaving the brains to the second. He most certainly has those. Ordained Pastor at 24yrs. old- I can hear him now- 'You Survived My Family And Past The Test...You Can Do It')

(John is relaxing after he and Rosaire finish with this fireplace from the previous photo)

(Alpha Omega Masonry helped to construct this walkway to the ocean. Here we have a walkway to experience the 'Voice of God' (Ezekiel 43:2)- This area is called THUNDER HOLE)

(A pizza oven done for a private home- The owners wanted the best work possible...No games. The father of John Veilleux also trained boxers. To which John became a local champion in his youth...Needless to say, John does not like to play games. This owner called the right team- 'Alpha Omega Masonry')

(Problems in this life are going to come. We, as Christians need to let them hit us like WE are the brick wall. It can NOT be the other way around)

(John Veilleux with grandson. Here we have Rosaire's youngest son. We were together as Rosaire thought of the name for his yet unborn son. 'I am going to name him Mason...Mason John Veilleux'- He will be the next in line)

- AFTER a long trip down 'Super Memory Lane'. The jobs that I had to do became small and easy. All I had to do was just that- 'Do It'. (1 THESSALONIANS 5:24)- "He who calls you is faithful, who also will DO IT"- So I went to work.

(I begin with the open air balcony by closing it in. Thank God my new brother Roy came to help me with the wall. He ended doing all of it....That's Roy for you)

(I put a concrete slab on top the wall for the new window enclosure to fit snug)

(Water proofing the wall with a glue cement was my next step)

(Plastering my wall would be the final step before painting it)

(From the outside the finished product is secure looking and cozy...Definately to keep the pigeons OUT)

(Inside the enclosed balcony I install a new light for the girls)

(Pastor Ron, CCMB- always did the wiring before. Working on the Island with my new brother Roy has taught me the basics about wiring a light fixture)

(Double bulb- Nice looking- Bright and Neat)

(Between the shower and the toilet we had this space with an existing water supply. You Guessed It! A perfect place for a sink)

(After adjusting the height. I drill a few holes and form my skeleton with rebar. I mark up the walls to prepare for the wall tile)

(I then pack in the mixed concrete to make a nice solid holding base for my sink)

(I then cut all the tile I need for the wall and for the sink)

(I was happy with the outcome. Now for a few accessories and we will be functional)

(After a few added accessories we have a fully operational sink)

(A nice cleaning and  a few accessories was all the toilet really needed)

- THE last of my projects would be the most fun. To transform the shower room into something more suitable...FOR ME.

(After situating the water line my next step would be to raise the floor)

(I raise the floor with a combination of Rock sand, Cement, and broken up concrete block)

(I pour a liquid used for waterproofing)

(I cover it all up with more Rock sand, Cement and pour more waterproofing. Making my floor base)

(I am now ready to put new floor tile. I mixed enough of the tile cement I need)

(I start with the inside of the shower first to finish as soon as possible for us to use)

(After I put in a nice tan colored grout, I am ready for my next step)

(Removing the double sliding shower door was a bit of a task. Silicone was already set in. Not to mention the bolt fasteners that were used for the sides)

(With the sliding door removed was I ready to mixed up more of the tile cement and continue working)

(Yes, sometimes and most of the time- The Reconstructing process will be a messy job)

(Even after I ruined a tile or two I was left with one tile. Which fit perfectly for my last piece to install- Now How About That!)

(Now the shower room is twice the size that it once was)

(I begin to reassemble the double sliding glass door)

(I do not know about you- But for me to put things back the same way they were??- Just with the look on my face you know- 'I Don't Think That Was To Go There')

(In the end, the sliding glass door was relocated and installed as the entrance to a remodeled shower room)

(Of course the girls did not waste any time to fill the compartments with shower gels and soap scrubs)

AS the Lord would have it, my life has not only been provided for from day to day but also has the Lord prepared me for tomorrow. When our Lord Jesus tells us (MATTHEW 6:34)- "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble"- I find that the bulk of scripture reassures us so much of our blessed tomorrow that the worry of the day is small in comparison. As we study through the Letter to the Romans let us be encouraged to know (ROMANS 8:18)- "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us"

- THE Lord is coming soon to take us home, don't worry. The Lord has not told a lie before and He is still telling us the truth the whole way through the process of being "Under Construction" to becoming more like Him.

(Rakhel had her first fever a couple of months ago. A cool wet cloth on the head seemed to best treat her ailment)

(I thought to make Rakhel a nice pancake, just for her)

(Rakhel is big help around the home- She helps her grandmother with the clothes)

- SITUATIONS are ever changing. However, praise God that He remains the same. It is comforting to see- The more you learn of Him, the more we have to learn.

- THANK you Alpha Omega Masonry for obeying the call of our Lord and Master. Having me partake with you to: Real Man Work With A Real Godly Team.
